Whether outside our homes, inside our classrooms, or alongside our courthouses, the American flag flies as a symbol of “liberty and justice for all.” On this Flag Day, we pledge our allegiance once again to the ideals that define this most exceptional nation. We vow to defend these ideals out of respect for those who have come before us and out of love for future generations.

Please follow the link to read President Reagan’s 1986 Flag Day Radio Address. It reads in part:

“As the American Republic grew and prospered and new stars were added to the flag, the ideal of freedom grew and prospered. From the rolling hills of Kentucky to the shores of California to the Sea of Tranquility on the Moon, our pioneers carried our flag before them, a symbol of the indomitable spirit of a free people. Congressmen Gosar (AZ-04), Salmon (AZ-05), Schweikert (AZ-06) and Franks (AZ-08) are hosting a Congressional Field Hearing in Prescott, Arizona, on July 1st to discuss the IRS and other abuse scandals and hear directly from their constituents about their concerns with this out-of-control federal government. This is a PERFECT way to kick-off the Fourth of July week and usher in Independence Day!

We need more members of Congress to engage We the People in town hall style meetings to discuss all the government abuse scandals just as they did in 2009 and 2010 with Obamacare. Those Obamacare town halls became a hallmark of the Tea Party movement, and we need that same energy now more than ever. Let the people come together and speak up. Now is the time.

In a Pew poll taken last January, 53% of Americans believed the federal government is a threat to their own personal rights and freedom. Imagine what that percentage would be now that we know more about all of these abuse scandals? A majority of Americans now feel that their government is a threat to their liberty — not just bloated, incompetent, and bankrupt, but an actual threat to their liberty.

I look forward to addressing this justified distrust of our out-of-control Big Brother government at the "Road to Majority" conference in D.C. this Saturday.

Beautiful kids being helped by beautiful hearts of those with compassion. This video is from the kids at the Greta Home and Academy in Haiti, an orphanage and home in connection with Rev. Graham and Samaritan’s Purse and supported by Greta Van Susteran and John Coale. For many of these kids the uniform they’re wearing was their first set of clothes. It’s so encouraging to see high profile public figures with sincere commitments to the truly disadvantaged. Happy birthday, Greta (two days belated)!
